PLEASE NOTE: PayPal will show a “Ship To” address during your transaction, but tickets will NOT be mailed to you. Also note that there are no Sunday shows this year.

News

COVID-19 Update.  The BWFF Committee is watching the COVID-19 pandemic carefully and will be assessing later in the summer whether we think it is safe to put on the Festival in 2020.  We will not put on a Festival unless we think our filmmakers and audiences can attend without worrying about an undue risk of transmitting or getting the virus.  We will announce here and on our Facebook page when a final decision has been made.  Meanwhile, filmmakers, do not hesitate to send us your films!  We are watching them, and we are meeting via Zoom to discuss them.  If the show does not go on this year, your film will be considered for next year.
2019 Awards:  The 12th Big Water Film Festival is in the books!  Thanks to everyone (filmmakers, volunteers, sponsors, and audience members) who made it happen.  Here are this year’s award winners:

Special thanks to the Ashland Foundation for funding the purchase of a spotlight for our use at the Bay Theater.  Filmmakers will no longer have to answer questions in the dark!

New venues!
Our Bayfield showings are moving from the Bayfield Carnegie Library to the more spacious environs of the Bayfield High School Library.  We hope this will give our audience more room to enjoy the films.  Thanks to Blair and the City Library for their support these past years, and thanks to the Bayfield School District for welcoming us to their campus.
