The Fourth Annual Big Water Film Festival is now in the books. What a fun weekend we had! Thanks to our sponsors, our filmmakers and our audience. We are already looking forward to the Fifth Annual Big Water Film Festival, to be held on November 9-11, 2012. If you'd like to be a sponsor in 2012, or if you'd like information on submitting a film, please click on "contact."
Thanks to Melody Gilbert, our Guest Curator, for helping us identify films for the Festival.
Thanks also to StageNorth Theater in Washburn, Wisconsin, for running a smooth operation all weekend.
We love every movie we show at the Big Water, but part of the fun is having award winners in specific categories. Our 2011 winners are:
Audience Favorite: Truck Farm. Ian Cheney
Best Feature: Rough Tender. Joe Dressel
Best Documentary: Just Like Us. Ahmed Ahmed
Best Short Film: Bike Race. Tom Schroeder
Best Short-Short Film: Girl of My Dreams. Doug White
Loren Savitsky Young Filmmaker Award: Ink Jet. Tom Radovich.
Honorable Mention: The Letter. Steve Date
A very special thanks to all of our 2011 Sponsors! If you are interested in being a sponsor of the 2012 Big Water Film Festival, please visit this page.
